Donald Trump’s aggressive behaviour extends all the way through to his handshake, an action he’s been getting tons of attention for because it’s so weird and aggressive. If you haven’t seen Trump’s signature handshake for yourself, this video does a decent job at capturing its aggressiveness.
Trudeau’s resistance was brillant: He placed his left hand on Trump’s left shoulder to create a tension that made it impossible for Trump to pull Trudeau into his personal space. Clearly Trudeau’s communications team saw Trump’s move miles in advance and devised a plan to keep Trudeau in his respective space.
Nice try, Trump.
