Unless you’re still playing the Game of Life, you’ll already know that escape games are all the rage – and the Toronto Star just got an exclusive look at Toronto’s most alluring one yet.
Escape from the Tower is World War II-themed labyrinth of infuriatingly tricky puzzles and frantic frenzy within the halls of Toronto’s perfectly-suited Casa Loma.
Opening to the public on August 12, Escape from the Tower traps a group of anxiety-riddled participants in a dark castle tower – death the consequence if you fail to escape within an hour (or, you know, you just fail). There’s an abandoned swimming pool, interaction with bizarre characters, a no-phone policy, and plenty of war accoutrement. A sketchy elevator eventually comes into play, as does a myriad of twists and a call to “end the war.”

Game times are Wednesday to Sunday (starting August 12) – 5:30pm, 7:30pm and 9:30pm – which you can reserve online ($36-$42).
