Canada Has Been Ranked the ‘Most Admired’ Country in the World

We could have probably guessed this already, but it’s always nice to get official confirmation.

According to an annual survey ranking the reputations of developed nations across the globe, Canada is the “most admired” country with the “best reputation” in the world.

When that designation comes from an organization called the Reputation Institute, you know it’s real.

Canada’s effective government, absence of corruption, friendly and welcoming people, and welfare support system received praise from Reputation Institute’s Fernando Prado, who quite aptly concluded Canada offers “something good” across most of the metrics considered by the survey.

But there’s always room for improvement, of course, particularly when it comes to contributing to the global culture.

Canada ranked second overall in the survey last year after holding top spot between 2011 and 2013. Norway and Sweden rounded out the top three, respectively.

Let’s all give ourselves a very humble pat on the back.
