Ben & Jerry’s Introduces Dairy-Free Ice Cream For the First Time

Prayers of the lactose intolerant and vegans have been answered.

Come mid-February(ish), Ben & Jerry’s will offer ice cream that’s free of dairy – and it’s just as creamy and delicious as the real deal.

The ice cream is made with an almond milk base and includes some of the beloved brand’s favourite flavours, like Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chunky Monkey, Coffee Caramel Fudge, and P.B. & Cookies.

All are vegan certified.

The new product comes after a year of research and development and an online petition that urged the company to offer dairy-free options.

Forbes reports that the dairy-free ice cream will sell for about $5.69 a pint in stores.

And yes, we’re craving a bowl (or several) of it as well right now…
