Apple Looking to Launch Online TV Service This Fall

Online television is the future, that much is a fact.

So it was only a matter of time before the tech giants stepped in to carve out their share of what is an exponentially lucrative market.

By this September, Apple will aim to launch a web-based television service on its AppleTV platform, consisting of a 25-channel package that includes programming from ABC, CBS, and Fox.

Apple recently added widely beloved HBO Now to its AppleTV offering, but will need to strike a deal with Comcast to add channels like NBC, Bravo, E!, USA and Syfy to the service’s roster.

While this is all very American news, we’ll just mentioned that it is possible to access these goods in Canada – and leave it at that.

The next major announcement about Apple’s foray into web TV is expected this June.
