A Huge New Arts Festival is Coming to Ontario Place This Fall

Toronto music lovers, mark your calendars – there’s a new festival coming to town.

This September, the folks from Art Spin and Small World Music will be launching their first instalment of in/FUTURE, a “Transformative Art Experience,” which will bring together some of Canada’s finest contemporary artists and art organizations for a 10-day waterfront music and arts festival.

The festival will be taking over the west island of Ontario Place from September 15th-25th, bringing new life to the 14-acre urban oasis.

This portion of the island has remained basically untouched since the water park and island rides were shut down in 2011.

So for anyone that spent their summers exploring the island and visiting the water park, which are bursting with nostalgia, you’ll feel like you’re taking a walk down memory lane.

According to the event website, attendees can expect to see more than 60 of the most exciting contemporary artists and art organizations from across Ontario, which will revitalize the iconic island space through and immersive celebration of art and culture.

And although there hasn’t been much information released on the festival’s website, based on previous Art Spin and Small World Music events, we can assume this will be pretty epic.
