8 Signs You’re Going to Be Just Fine

For all the career wins, milestones in your personal life, and all the fun you have on the weekends, life can also suck in a major way at times.

Whether it is circumstantial, chemical, or for no reason at all, we all have our low days…and anyone who doesn’t is either an extreme rarity or is lying.

Here are 8 signs you’re going to be just fine…

1. You Figured it Out This Far
Remember when you first entered the workplace and you had no idea how you were ever going to be able to pay your own rent and bills, let alone think of maintaining a social life? Well you figured that out, didn’t you? Getting off your feet it the hardest part.

2. You View the Future From a Place of Positivity, Not Dread
Of course, it’s definitely not a great thing to have your head in the clouds when it comes to real-life concerns for the future like a retirement and savings plan. But it’s quite another to spend your time lamenting about everything that could possibly go wrong in the years to come – from how you’re going to pay your unborn child’s tuition to when you’re going to die.

3. You Can Appreciate All the Bad
By now, you probably know that tragedy isn’t something that’s reserved for the movies. And, life’s going to only throw you more curveballs. But if you can look back on all the dark times – from a broken heart to the passing of a relative – and recognize how that experience could have changed your life in some positive way (even if it was just a new strength you didn’t know you had), then you’ll be better prepared to face any others.

4. Your Past Doesn’t Haunt You
Similarly, you view your entire past – the triumphs, failures, struggles, bad dates and bad fashion choices and worse haircuts – as a learning experience and something that made you exactly who you are today, not something that haunts you. And you’ll one day look back on anything that’s happening in your life now the same way.

5. You Know What Makes You Happy
You know exactly what makes you happy. Whether it’s the feeling you get when surrounded by friends and family or the powers of an epic playlist and an hour at the gym – you are well aware of the things in your life that both mean the most to you and have the power to transform your mood for the better.

6. You’ve Carved Your Own Path So Far
You’ve always lived by your own set of rules and expectations for yourself. As a result, you’ve never been affected by the pressure to conform to what your peers were doing, or by expectations of what you should be doing by this point in your life. And you’re certainly not going to start now, so you know that type of pressure will have no place in your future.

7. You Don’t Settle
Perhaps because of this path you’ve carved yourself, the word “settle” is not part of your vocabulary. And it never will be – in everything from your personal life to where you’re going to celebrate your birthday dinner.

8. You Don’t Give Up Easily
Though you may have been tempted to at times, the reason you’re where you are today is because you haven’t given up on your pursuits, goals, and relationships. It’s probably because you’re not afraid of either failure or success – nor will you ever be.
