Guusto:
A hospitality and gifting app founded by Skai Dalziel and Joe Facciolo in Vancouver. Guusto facilitates gifting by sending a beer, or a glass of wine, to a friend or business contact and eliminates the need for a gift card. Founders can use Guusto to thank an employee for a job well done or to deepen relationships with new business contacts. For every gift that is sent using the Guusto app, a day’s worth of clean water is donated to One Drop projects.

Article:
An online furniture seller started three years ago in Vancouver and expected to make more than $120 Million CAD in revenue in 2017. CEO and founder Aamir Baig is in good company with Canada’s tech entrepreneurs. Article is founder-funded and has grown on mostly on retained earnings. Article has done four small rounds of funding for a total of $4.8 million with contributions from its founders. The Vancouver Founder Fund (VFF) participated in the last round of funding, founded by Fraser Hall, also an Article founder.

This Vancouver startup is the leading mobile technology platform for events and has won “Best Event App” at the Event Technology Awards for the past three years.
