10 Drool Worthy Examples of What $5 Million Can Buy You in Toronto

This list has been created by TOWER TRIP Magazine. Visit their website for more dream properties.

We recently compiled a list of what 1 million can buy you in  Montreal.

Well, we decided to play the same game for Toronto. But since property values and especially the price for detached and semi-detached houses soared in recent years, we had to adjust our range from $3.5M to $5M.

Note that these properties are not solely selected according to their prices, but by their uniqueness, their location, and their unique features.

Like, say, how much they make you drool…

1. A Spacious “New York style” Loft in the Fashion District
Immense rooms, brick walls, wood beams, and plenty of room to play, this unit located right in the Fashion District is perfect for the creative type… and throwing crazy house parties. Obviously. More pictures and details here.

2. A (Pre-Construction) High-Rise on Ten York Street
This beauty is a 224-metre (735 ft.) high glass vision in the sky. Of course, it’s not actually built yet, but this is the kind of deal that makes your investment go through the roof when completed.

3. This Stunning Ritz-Carlton Unit with Almost a 360° View
Even if located in the busy epicenter of the city, the views from the (nearly) floor to ceiling windows are serene and relaxing. Oh, and your neighbour is a little someone we like to call the CN Tower.

4. Modern Detached Only Metres from the Beach
This home is located on one of the most sought-after streets in The Beaches, just three houses from the lake. It occupies a premium 50-foot wide lot and offers grand features such as 11-foot ceilings. Perfect for a family house just outside the city or as a summer retreat.

5. A Lavish Two-Bedroom Skyscraper
Literally a home in the sky, this unit is close to other skyscrapers, giving it a sense of futuristic living. Also for those of you who watch Suits, this feels exactly like Harvey Specter’s office.

6. Luminous House in Affluent Willowdale Community
Most of the rooms (yes, even the walk-in closet) benefit from luminous skylights making the space appear fresh and clean. Also not too far from the city, this modern gem is a steal at ‘only’ $2,699,000.

7. Fixer-Upper with Huge Indoor Pool
Listed as a “renovator & builder” opportunity, this 5000+ sq. ft. house is overlooking a huge lot next to Windfields Park. It needs a little work but working up a sweat doesn’t matter as much when you can jump in the indoor pool afterwards.

8. The Complete Package with Garage and Gazebo
This house is well designed to make maximum usage of every inch. The multiple stories create room for a garage, a nice terrace, and a backyard deck.

10. An Incredible Penthouse with Private Pool
Awarded best residential building of 2013, this 16 unit tower is a little over our budget at $6,5M. But hey, we had to show you this suspended infinity pool where you can do laps with an eye on the CN Tower.
